With the completion of NBEX, this travel time is expected to be cut in half, making the trip just 45 minutes. The expressway will start at Brgy. Kaylaway in Nasugbu and will run parallel to the Tagaytay-Nasugbu and Palico-Balayan highways, eventually connecting to the Cavite-Batangas Expressway (CBEX). "This project will drive a lot of development for our province and for our towns here in the first district. Above all, it can provide more help and services to our citizens. San Miguel is a true partner in development not only in Batangas but in the entire Philippines," said Mandanas.

The NBEX project is divided into four sections:
- Section 1: A 10.78-km segment from Brgy. Kaylaway to Brgy. Banilad in Nasugbu.
- Section 2: A 13.03-km stretch from Brgy. Banilad to Balayan town.
- Section 3: A 16.3-km segment from Balayan to Lemery.
- Section 4: A 20.79-km stretch from Lemery to Bauan.
The substantial completion of NBEX is projected within 48 months, including a 12-month period for the development of the detailed engineering design.
